Lunedì 16 settembre 2019 l’automotrice leggera a nafta a scartamento ridotto RAln 6012 monumentata presso la stazione di Villarosa è stata prelevata da una grossa gru e caricata su un rimorchio appositamente attrezzato per essere quindi trasferita al porto di Catania e successivamente imbarcata su un traghetto di linea per Napoli con destinazione finale il Museo Ferroviario Nazionale di Pietrarsa. Prima di essere esposta nel padiglione delle littorine del grande museo la RAln 6012 sarà oggetto di un restauro estetico a cura della FondazioneFS.L’automotrice è stata costruita dalla FIAT nel 1950, ed ha prestato servizio sulla linea a scartamento ridotto Dittaino – Piazza Armerina, chiusa all’esercizio nel 1971.Il suo trasferimento a Villarosa avvenne alla fine degli anni ’90 grazie all’interesse dell’intraprendente capo stazione di Villarosa, Primo David, ideatore del Museo d’arte mineraria e civiltà contadina allestito su carri merci su un binario di ricovero della stazione stessa.Nella foto gentilmente concessaci da Giuseppe Sparacio un momento delle operazioni.Per commentare questa e le altre foto del mesewww.a-f-s.forumattivo.com/f13-la-foto-del-mese On Monday, 16 September 2019, the arrow-gauge railcar RAln 6012 monumented at the Villarosa station was taken by a large crane and loaded onto a specially equipped trailer to then be transferred to the port of Catania and subsequently rolled on a ferry for Naples with final destination the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa.
